Empire Gymnastics is seeking a passionate and experienced Competitive Gymnastics Coach to lead and develop gymnasts within our competitive team program. The ideal candidate has a strong background in coaching optional and/or compulsory level athletes, is safety-conscious, and thrives in a team-oriented environment focused on athlete development, skill progression, and competition readiness.
Key Responsibilities:Coach and develop competitive gymnasts (USAG Levels 1-5 & Xcel Bronze-Platinum)
Plan and implement structured training sessions tailored to athlete skill levels
Provide technical instruction in all four women's artistic gymnastics events (Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor).
Prepare athletes for local, regional, and national competitions, including meet selection, routines, and strategy
Evaluate athlete performance and progress regularly; provide constructive feedback
Ensure a safe, positive, and disciplined environment in compliance with USAG safety guidelines
Work collaboratively with other coaches, staff, and parents to support athlete well-being and program goals
Attend competitions, team events, and continuing education clinics as needed
Qualifications:Minimum of 3–5 years coaching competitive gymnastics (Levels [insert], Xcel, or equivalent)
USAG Professional Membership and SafeSport Certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
Strong technical knowledge in skill development, spotting, and progressions
Experience creating and refining optional routines
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Passionate about athlete development, character-building, and fostering a love for the sport
Preferred Qualifications:Experience coaching athletes to State or Regional
Background in choreography, strength and conditioning, or physical therapy a plus
Schedule:Afternoon/evening practices, weekend competitions
Occasional travel required during competition season
