Alligator Steps Swim School is a leading year-round swim school for children aged 6 months to 12 years. We're dedicated to water safety, building confidence, and fostering a love for swimming through our unique "STEP UP" program. We're seeking a passionate and organized Assistant Director to join our team.

About the Role:

As Assistant Director, you'll be crucial in ensuring our swim school runs smoothly and provides exceptional service. You'll support daily operations, manage staff, optimize schedules, and uphold our high standards of safety and instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, optimize class scheduling, oversee enrollment, and maintain facility safety and cleanliness. Handle customer inquiries and utilize our POS systems.
• Staff Leadership: Assist with recruiting, training, and developing swim instructors. Support staff scheduling and foster a positive, professional work environment.
• Program Quality: Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality swim instruction aligned with Alligator Steps' curriculum and safety protocols.
• Customer Engagement: Act as a primary contact for parents, build strong relationships, and support community outreach and marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of leadership/management experience.
• Strong passion for water safety and working with children.
• Able-bodied to receive in-house Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with scheduling/POS software and Google Spreadsheets.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to stand, swim, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
