GradsBC Photography & Video is an innovative, fast-paced, high-volume school media company that is looking for a personable, self-motivated and energetic individual to join our team on a Part Time contract basis starting in August. 

Mission: Provide a positive experience for hundreds of students through exceptional customer service and quality portrait sessions daily.

Qualification: 

  • Has a valid British Columbia driver's license and owns a reliable vehicle. This is mandatory as we photograph at multiple schools all over the lower mainland that are not accessible by transit at certain hours.
  • Previous portrait studio photography experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of portrait photography; posing subjects.
  • Proficiency with DSLR equipment Post-production processes; culling, cropping, basic Photoshop and Lightroom adjustments
  • 1+ Experience with studio lighting
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal 
  • Previous customer service experience, post production and graphic designs skills are an asset. 

Teamwork

Promotes company culture and vision. Follows policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Attends and participates in all mandatory staff and safety meetings. Observes and promotes GradBC’s company rules.

Photography

Follows un-packing/packing guidelines; SOPs, Checklists.

Takes ownership of assigned equipment kits; has knowledge on each piece and understands proper use, handling, and care.

Reports repairs and maintenance to the Onsite Supervisor right away. Checks in with the Onsite Supervisor upon arrival at an event.

Reviews the event details (pre-check) and participates in the pre-event team meetings.

Ensures dress code and grooming are in line with company standards and you are confident you are representing the GradsBC brand with professionalism.

Assists with loading and unloading gear. Effectively sets up camera equipment according to the provided floorplans and assists others.

Ensures lighting and framing is tested and approved by the Onsite Supervisor prior to going ‘live’.

Troubleshoots technical issues and brings any quality concerns to the Onsite Supervisor.

Ensuring you are complying with periodical quality control checks.

Adhering to all safety protocols set out by GradsBC and the Client.

Post Production

 Office shifts focused on backing up assets and workflow.

Culling images and cropping guidelines.

Class photo and group photo culling and retouching

Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $22.00 per hour
