  1. Fabricates, assembles, plastic products, applying knowledge of working characteristics of plastics and bonding techniques, using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment: Reads and understands drawings and instructions, work orders, and related documentation to determine methods and sequence of operations and dimensional and finish specifications.
  2. Ability to read and interpret work orders, machining instructions, and written and verbal instructions to execute work orders.
  3. Lays out cutting lines on plastic materials, such as sheet stock, following template pattern, blueprints, sketches, or sample part, using measuring and marking instruments.
  4. Cuts material to size, using shears, knives, cutters, scissors, router, or saw.
  5. Welds plastics together to plan specification, using a welding power tool
  6. Trims, drills, reams, countersinks, grinds, and finishes parts to specifications, using templates, hand tools, and power tools.
  7. Performs typical machine shop operations to support the production and fabrication of plastic parts.
  8. Package and/or palletize product for shipment
  9. Keep accurate Inventory of raw materials
  10. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  11. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  12. Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
  13. Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance 
  14. Must be able to operate with minimal supervision once trained by following work  instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  15. Wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules at all times.
  16. Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.

Salary 

$20-$22 plus health benefits and 401K plan

Physical Requirements

Lift, handle and carry up to 70+ pounds. This position requires you to stand on your feet for you shift. This position requires reaching overhead, twisting, turning, and squatting. 

Hours

Monday through Friday during business hours of 8am-4pm.

 


Required Education/Skills

  1. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
  2. Ability to read and write English, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
  3. Simple shop math.
  4. Manufacturing mindset of urgency and quality.
  5. Time Management.
  6. Communication Proficiency.
  7. Ability to use hand tools.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Flexibility, dependability, and attention to detail.

 

Preference will be given to:

  1. One year of related shop experience as a fabricator preferably in a plastic fabrication environment.
  2. Experience with the properties of common plastics used in fabrication.
  3. Training in general safety awareness and practices.
  4. Intermediate shop math.
  5. Experience with bonding of plastics 
  6. Experience with 2D/3D CAM/CAD software
  7. Experience with CNC router
  8. Quality system awareness.
  9. Proficient using a PC in a Windows environment
