Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role requires a strong background in emergency medicine, trauma medicine, and inpatient care, as well as proficiency in medical documentation and diagnostic evaluation. The Registered Nurse will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Duties

• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and obtaining medical histories.
• Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
• Perform suturing as required and ensure proper wound care post-surgery.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation throughout the surgical process.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures within the operating room.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Experience in emergency medicine, trauma medicine, or ICU preferred.
• Proficient in medical documentation practices; familiarity with eClinicalWorks is a plus.
• Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation and suture techniques.
• Previous experience in senior care or memory care settings is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 28 per week
