Overview 
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscaping Crew Leader to join our small team. This role is essential in overseeing landscaping projects, ensuring high-quality landscape maintenance, and leading other crew members. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and experience identifying a range of weeds. We do not use pesticides, herbicides, or gas-powered tools; we are focused on sustainability and land stewardship.

Duties

• Supervise and lead a team in various landscaping tasks including weeding, pruning, debris removal, mulching, and occasional lawn care.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
• Supervise crew members to ensure best practices for groundskeeping, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance and adherence to project specifications.
• Manage the daily operations of the crew, including assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition to ensure efficiency on job sites.

Experience

• Must be able to work independently and efficiently.
• Proven experience in landscape/garden maintenance.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively - must have prior management experience.
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques, tools, and equipment used in groundskeeping.
• Ability to identify and differentiate weeds from ornamental/edible plants.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
• A background in horticulture or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Interest in sustainability and eco-friendly gardening.
