Summary

We are seeking Support Staff to join our vibrant team at Summer House Inc. These roles are essential in creating a welcoming environment for our residents and to provide a safe and comfortable environment for teaching safety, problem solving and support of daily living skills. ensuring exceptional service while supporting our mission of empowerment and enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Daily Living Support: Assisting residents with personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and household tasks.
• Skill Development: Teaching and supporting residents in developing daily living skills, problem-solving, and safety awareness.
• Community Engagement: Encouraging and facilitating participation in community activities and social events.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of resident progress, incidents, and daily activities.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with program managers and other staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass LiveScan background screening.
• Clean driving record (required for most positions).
• Ability to pass CPR/First Aid, DSP 1 & 2, and other required training.
• Previous experience in caregiving or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
