About Us:
Phos Global is redefining energy storage. Based in Stony Brook, NY, we’ve developed the AMKESS system — an advanced kinetic energy storage solution that is clean, safe, scalable, and non-chemical. As we expand, we’re looking for a passionate Electrical Engineer to join our team and help us take this technology to the next level.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone hands-on, inventive, and driven to solve real-world problems. You’ll analyze and improve existing power systems, select and integrate AC/DC components, and help us fine-tune our low- and high-voltage infrastructure.

Experience is welcome, but not required. If you’re a recent graduate or someone with strong electrical knowledge and a hunger to learn, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Analyze, design, and optimize electrical systems for the AMKESS platform

Work with both low- and high-voltage AC/DC systems

Recommend and source components that improve performance, safety, or efficiency

Collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineers

Troubleshoot, test, and document electrical systems during development and prototyping

Help bring the AMKESS system closer to UL certification and scalable production

Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience

Knowledge of both AC and DC systems (power electronics, inverters, converters)

Familiarity with system design and analysis (schematics, wiring, load distribution, etc.)

Comfortable working in a lab environment on R&D and prototype systems

Bonus: Experience with energy storage, motor control, or grid-tied systems

Why Join Us?
This is a unique opportunity to work on breakthrough technology that could change the future of energy storage. You’ll have a voice in shaping something meaningful, and you’ll be part of a passionate, close-knit team building something the world hasn’t seen before.
