We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our small dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
• Assess patients’ oral health by reviewing medical histories.
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system, utilizing Dentrix software.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Collaborate with dentist to provide comprehensive care in both general dentistry and pediatrics.
• Maintain a clean and organized dental clinic environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Participate in continuing education to stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
• Proficient in medical terminology and dental terminology relevant to patient care.
• Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
• Familiarity with documentation review processes and patient management systems such as Dentrix is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
