Position Summary
The MLS Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). This includes ensuring compliance with industry standards, maintaining system integrity, supporting members with technical and training needs, implementing strategic enhancements, and completing tasks assigned by the CEO/AE as it relates to member services and event planning and preparation. The MLS Specialist will also act as a liaison between the organization, its members, vendors, and governing bodies to ensure efficient MLS functionality.
Key Responsibilities
MLS Operations, Compliance, and Reporting
•Monitor listings to ensure accuracy and compliance with MLS rules and policies.
•Run regular reports to identify data issues or rule violations and issue notification as needed.
•Assist in implementing MLS system updates, policy changes, and new features in collaboration with vendors.
•Collaborate with ROAM MLS to improve system efficiencies and standardization.
•Manage listing syndication and IDX/RETS feed compliance to ensure accurate and authorized data distribution.
Member Support & Training
•Provide daily assistance to MLS users with system access, listing input, rules clarification, and troubleshooting.
•Coordinate and occasionally lead new member MLS orientation sessions and recurring user training sessions.
•Foster engagement by promoting MLS tools and resources that benefit members.
•Maintain and distribute MLS guides, tutorials, and compliance documentation.
Committee and Administrative
•Assist the CEO/AE with internal communications, document preparation, and recordkeeping.
•Prepare meeting materials and take minutes for the MLS Advisory Committee.
•Follow up on action items and deadlines discussed in MLS Advisory Committee meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
•High School Diploma or GED/HiSet.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MLS operations, real estate technology, or a related role preferred.
•Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•The ability to manage multiple projects.
•Authorization to work in the United States.
•Valid Driver's License.
