SALES SUPPORT SPECIALIST

 

Job Description:

This position requires a detail-oriented and dependable representative who supports our sales, order entry, and customer check-in processes.  This hybrid role requires both administrative skills and direct involvement in processing incoming customer products.  The representative will be organized, initiative-taking, and capable of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding service to both internal teams and customers.  This position reports to the Inside Sales/Order Entry/Check-in Manager and collaborates with a team of support personnel that share these duties. 

The job is an hourly, on-site position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting sales, order entry and check-in in the capacity needed at any given time will dictate the primary responsibilities of this position. These responsibilities will include:

  • Enter data from check-in forms to generate quotes or work orders.
  • Coordinate pricing inquiries and communicate with vendors.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and management to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding quotes, orders, and requests. 
  • Digitally archive documentation and scan files to work tickets.
  • Generate purchase orders and track outside processing status when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, micrometer, pi tape).
  • Capable of interpreting technical/CAD drawings.
  • Proven data entry and typing skills with high accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Pass drug screening.
