Overview
Desfina, a family-owned Greek restaurant in East Cambridge, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Server to join our front-of-house team. In this role, you will be key to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering attentive, friendly, and efficient service in a fast-paced setting. • Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm; present menus and provide recommendations
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system
• Serve food and drinks promptly and with attention to presentation and detail
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely orders
• Respond to guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally
• Keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized
• Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines, including proper cleaning of utensils and surfaces
• Handle payments accurately, including basic cash and card transactions

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple tables effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and kitchen safety is helpful
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Weekend and evening availability preferred
