Small Group, Women’s Strength Training Coach (Brooklyn, NY)

We’re a new women’s strength training startup in Brooklyn. We’re looking for a small group coach who excels at teaching women how to use progressive overload training in ways that work best for their bodies. This isn’t just about running workouts—it’s about building a community, making weight lifting approachable, and helping women feel strong in every way.

Who You Are:

  • Confident coaching strength training (barbell, dumbbell, bodyweight), with serious form standards, and bring big warmth and energy to a room
  • You have excelled at teaching progressive overload training to small groups and/or 1:1.
  • Passionate about helping women build confidence through movement.
  • Flexible and empathic — many members are new to strength training, some show up late, others hate working their core. You know how to adapt, push, and hold people accountable with love.
  • A team player who’s excited to be part of a growing startup and isn’t afraid to get scrappy when needed (yes, this might mean calling a plumber and definitely includes keeping the space tidy, secure, and running smoothly). You’re keen to identify things that should be better and help create the solution.
  • Nice to have: you love creating social content and engaging new potential members.

What You'll Coach:

  • Small group strength training sessions (2-6 clients per session). You’ll:
  • Lead members through a warm-up including flexibility and mobility movements.
  • Show them how to do the programming for that day. We do progressive overload training and each workout includes 5-6 strength exercises (some variation and combination of squats, deadlifts, hip thrusts, horizontal push/pulls and vertical push/pulls).
  • Help them select the right weight based on their ability, history, and the prescribed reps.
  • Monitor, correct, and modify their form so they’re moving safely and effectively.
  • Encourage and celebrate them for their hard work — we’re big on high fives and “hell yeah’s!”

When You'll Coach:

  • Mornings (7am-11am), evenings (4:00pm-8pm), weekend mornings (9am-12pm).
  • Right now I’m looking for part-time support, with a minimum commitment of 10 small group sessions/week.
  • I prefer that you lead a block of classes (e.g. Wednesday morning from 7am to 11am), versus single sessions. I think that’s also better for your earnings.

Why Join Us?

  • A chance to be part of a new, exciting fitness concept built for women by women.
  • Supportive, positive, and unique work environment.
  • Comp starts at $65/class.
  • Opportunity to grow with the business—this isn’t just another gym job. We’re excited to offer you milestone bonuses, and the opportunity for profit sharing and ownership.

How to Apply:
