Assistant Construction Project Manager (Residential Construction)

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will oversee on-site construction and remodeling projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your leadership and multitasking skills will be essential in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintaining clear communication with clients and the design and construction team. 

Responsibilities: 

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for communicating with the project team (General Contractor, Vendors, Subcontractors, etc.) to support the Project Managers in the field. 

Detailed review and ability to analyze construction plans and specifications. 

Maintain project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies. 

Assist Project Managers/General Contractor and Design Team with the management and organization of the assigned project(s). 

Daily activities include, but not limited to, the following: 

Maintain current information distributed to field staff such as Drawing updates and safety documents. 

Purchase and transport projects materials to job sites when needed. 

Help monitor and direct construction activities in conjunction with the Project Managers to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budget. 

Aid Project Managers with managing financial aspects of purchased materials and tools (rental equipment, company vehicles) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client.

Maintain a clean driving record to drive company vehicles. 

Communicate respectfully and clearly with homeowners.

Qualifications: 

Trade School or 1+ years of relevant work experience within the Construction Industry. 

The ideal candidate is a motivated person who is seeking to learn or further skills within construction and remodeling. 

To be successful in this position, candidate must be passionate about finding innovative solutions to increase performance and efficiency. 

Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with very tight timelines. 

Possess leadership skills - ability to effectively and professionally communicate & motivate all levels of field employees and sub-contractors. 

Highly organized, detail oriented and efficient with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits:   

Full Time 

Competitive salary, $18-20/hour based on experience and qualifications.
