Minimum Qualifications:

Current licensure as a mental health professional (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW, LCSW-C, LCPC) in Maryland.

Experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting. Skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for building rapport with students and collaborating with school staff.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health services to students enrolled in Baltimore City Public Schools’ General Education programs.
• Adhere to the Performance Standards for Mental Health Professionals in City Schools.
• Provide mental health consultations for school staff, including classroom observations of students at risk.
• Conduct prevention group activities for students
• Participate in school Student Wellness Support Team meetings.
• Facilitate family outreach activities.
• Provide presentations on relevant mental health topics to school staff.
• Support the school community for crisis intervention as needed.
• Submit complete and accurate program data information in BHSB’s web-based data platform.
• Participate in the Evidence-Based Assessment (EBA) Initiative.
