Position Overview:

As an IT Technician at FreedomLinx Technologies, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch IT Help Desk/Desktop support to our valued clients. This dynamic role also involves the physical installation of cabling and a variety of technical services, making it a position of growth, limited only by your desire to learn.

Key Qualifications:

• Microsoft Proficiency: Good knowledge of Microsoft products, including Windows, Server, Office, and more.
• General IT Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities for addressing issues such as printer problems, application glitches, system tools, directory structures, permissions, hardware deployment, and software installation.
• Active Directory Knowledge: Understanding of Windows Active Directory, including joining machines to a domain, user management, and group policy.
• Cabling Expertise: Proficiency in structured cabling installation and repair (CAT5/6, Fiber Optics, Coax termination, and installation).
• Network Troubleshooting: Basic ability to troubleshoot network issues.
• Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills to quickly and professionally address client inquiries.
• Adaptability: Must be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills to handle various technical challenges.
• Physical Requirements: Physically able to use a ladder and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team Player: Great team player and self-driven.
• Documentation: Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills using ticketing and CRM systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Data network knowledge, CCNA, Net+ certifications, or equivalent experience.
• IP and SIP phone system experience.
• Hypervisor and Virtualization experience.
• Data Backup and Disaster Recovery Plan experience.

Additional Job Functions:

• Perform cross-connects on distribution frames and assist with cable facility testing.
• Assist with maintenance of the switching and broadband network.
• Install and replace cable sections and drops.
• Install structured cabling, including fiber optic cable and Cat 5e/6.
• Install and maintain security and video surveillance systems.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
