Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret blueprints 
2. Use precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, boring bars, drill press, hydraulic press, band saw, keyseater, push and pull broaches and variety of cutting tools and equipment. 
3. Use gages and measuring instruments to meet close tolerance requirements.
4. Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
5. Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines. 
6. Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment. 
7. Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions. 
8. Plan necessary actions for the completion of a job. 
9. Check consistency of work with specifications for accuracy.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a qualified machinist preferred.
2. Knowledge of machining practices and processes. 
3. Ability to use a micrometer, require mathematical skills. 
4. Ability to learn quickly and good communication skills. 
5. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, heavier weight at times. 
6. Provide own tools and storage box for use in shop when possible.
