Job Summary

The Bilingual Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving growth and building strong customer relationships in the frozen food sector. This role requires a proactive, self-managed approach to territory coverage, consistent client communication, and collaboration with internal teams. The ideal candidate takes initiative, solves problems before they escalate, and stays accountable for meeting sales and service expectations.

Responsibilities:

Sales Development

  • Proactively seek new clients and sales opportunities through regular outreach and territory visits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurants, retail stores, and distributors.
  • Present products in a clear, confident manner that matches client needs.

     

Client Management

  • Maintain strong follow-up practices and consistent service to existing accounts.
  • Communicate product availability, pricing updates, and promotional offers.
  • Keep a regular route schedule to ensure all clients are visited as planned.

     

Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with drivers and logistics teams to ensure accurate order processing and delivery.
  • Confirm orders with clients before cutoff and provide reminders about delivery days.
  • Notify clients of account balances as needed and communicate clearly with the finance/Accounts Receivables team.

     

Sales Targets & Reporting

  • Take initiative to track progress toward weekly and monthly sales targets.
  • Report activities, client updates, and sales forecasts regularly to management.
  • Use tracking templates or CRM tools to log sales and communication activity

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the frozen food sector.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through regular, in-person visits.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase value to potential clients.
  • Negotiate pricing and close sales deals aligned with company goals.
  • Provide consistent, proactive customer service and post-sale support.
  • Stay informed on competitor activity, market shifts, and industry trends.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and support territory growth.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports, client updates, and forecasts for leadership review.
  • Communicate delivery schedules, product availability, and account balances.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure accurate order processing.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the food industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience, preferably in food service or distribution.
  • Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage time without daily supervision
  • Familiarity with frozen food distribution is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-oriented.
  • Knowledge of the frozen food industry is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
