Title: Manager of Corporate & Foundation Relations
Location: Hybrid – 3 to 4 days on-site in Roxbury, MA and 1 to 2 days remote

Horizons for Homeless Children (Horizons) is a local non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of young homeless children in Massachusetts and helping their families succeed by providing high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services. Summary of Position: The Manager of Corporate & Foundation Relations is a member of a highly skilled and productive team of fundraising professionals working together to improve the lives of homeless children and their families. The person in this role is responsible for identifying and forging relationships with new corporations and foundations and stewarding existing ones. They will nurture corporate relationships and coordinate corporate volunteering activity and aid in the implementation of strategy for the achievement of Horizons’ corporate and foundation fundraising goals. They must be able to compassionately communicate, both verbally and in writing, about the issue of children and families experiencing homelessness, Horizons’ programs, and the need for funding.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to develop and implement overall C&F strategy, goals, and operating plans.
• Identify, cultivate, and steward corporate and foundation donors.
• Research, identify and pursue well-aligned grant opportunities.
• Write and submit letters of intent (LOIs), proposals, applications, and reports.
• Pursue corporate event sponsorships and assist with events as appropriate.
• Coordinate corporate engagement activities including scheduling, logistics and volunteer communication.
• Manage corporate donation drives and in-kind giving.
• Deliver presentations to corporate audiences to communicate the organization’s mission and impact.
• Track corporate and foundation activities using Raiser’s Edge database.
• Work with program and marketing staff to ensure the communication of accurate and appropriate information.
Starting salary range, compensation, and benefits
$64,267 – $76,580 is the starting salary range for our Manager level roles. Your starting salary will fall within that range depending on your competencies, experience, and skillset.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
• 3- 5 years’ experience in non-profit organization.
• Development and grant experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge database and reporting a plus.
• Familiarity with city, state and federal government proposal submissions a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Outstanding writing and editing skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and sometimes quick turnarounds.
• Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Energetic, positive candidate who is adept at conveying compelling requests.
