Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Apprentice/Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with technicians in the field during the inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings. This role requires some understanding of codes and standards related to fire safety, as well as the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Fire Sprinkler Apprentice will play a significant helper role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems with the team of licensed technicians. This position provides on the job training and facilitates future goals of certification in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Help in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems according to local codes and standards.
  • Assist to assemble components and equipment necessary for the inspection, maintenance and repair of fire protection systems.
  • Use basic tools to ensure precise fittings and alignments.
  • Help technicians conduct inspections of existing systems to identify any issues or areas needing improvement.
  • Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.

Skills

  • Proficient in basic math for measurements and calculations
  • Some experience in assembling components for fire sprinkler systems a plus
  • Familiarity with using tools effectively.
  • Ability to work on construction sites, understanding site safety practices.
  • Understanding of applicable codes and standards governing fire safety regulations a plus, but not necessary
