We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian with grounds keeping/ maintenance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on industrial and commercial cleaning standards. Other duties would include outside maintenance.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in assigned areas.
• Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote an eco-friendly workplace.
• Respond promptly to any cleaning requests or emergencies that may arise during shifts.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are maintained according to company policies and procedures.
• Would assist maintenance team with power washing outside areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of floor care practices including buffing and maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A commitment to safety protocols and procedures while performing duties.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, carry, lift and move over 50 pounds
• Ability to be able to stand and walk for long periods of time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
