Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated (Resident in Counseling) to join our team. Candidate must have a masters degree in counseling and working toward LPC or LMFT licensure in VIRGINIA to be considered. MUST be a resident of Virginia and be able to work in-person two days a week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing counseling services to clients, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to serving individuals ages 13 and up.

Duties
The Resident in Counseling candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Following up on client inquiries and scheduling for therapy.
• Holding intake and regular sessions with clients.
• Ensuring proper daily documentation of session notes and associated paperwork.
• Upholding ethical and legal practices at all times.
• Implementing crisis procedures when necessary and maintaining a safe space for all clients.
• Collaborating with supervisor on a weekly basis to discuss concerns, plans, that meet the unique needs of each client.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Previous experience as an intern or resident in counseling, highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ethical and legal practices are a must.
• A master's degree in counseling, working toward LPC or LMFT licensure in Virginia.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, parents, and supervisor.
• A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact in their lives is essential.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00-95.00/hr
