Blake’s Outdoor Services, LLC. is a full-service landscaping company located in Pike County, Pennsylvania. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing team of landscape professionals in the position of Landscape Crew Member. 

Description of Position: Landscape Crew Member is a working staff member that works with other staff on various daily jobs including, but not limited to, contractor services, debris removal service, delivery service, excavating contractor services, landscaping services, property maintenance services, snow removal services, and similar tasks, while working as part of the team. 

 

This position would turn into a year-round salaried position after the probationary period of ninety (90) days is over, and employee review meets qualification guidelines. Our company is growing, thus leading to many opportunities for professional growth within our company as we continue to expand our services. This is a salary-based position based on experience and qualifications. 

The Landscape Crew Member will report directly to the company manager and will be responsible for ensuring company standards are upheld daily. Qualified applicants should have a desire to treat every property like it is their own, they will have good communication skills, will value teamwork, will be timely and dependable, and have a positive attitude. In addition, all applicants must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team environment and must share a commitment to the highest standards in customer service, quality, and professionalism.

Necessary Skill/Qualifications:

  • Openness to learn new skills
  • Must demonstrate leadership skills 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be self-motivated and provide motivation to crew members
  • Must be able to understand instructions and complete given tasks thoroughly
  • Must have prior snow removal experience
  • Must pass DOT physical (Company reimbursed, with provided medical card)
  • Valid Driver’s License (must provide copy) 
  • Ability to drive a truck with an attached trailer
  • Must be dependable and prompt 
  • Must have a respectable work ethic, be honest, and have good attention to detail 
  • Minimum one (1) years of experience with landscape equipment
  • Ability to safely operate all landscape equipment including but not limited to zero turn mowers, push mowers, walk behind mowers, weed whacker, chainsaw, leaf blowers, etc.
  • Must be able to be flexible with work schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day job schedule and projects
  • Operate and maintain equipment to ensure safe operating condition
  • Ensure trucks and trailers have proper equipment for each project
  • Ensure the equipment is properly maintained and regularly serviced 
  • Guarantee that all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and standards, are being upheld by all crew members
  • Monitor and ensure that team members are following safety regulations to minimize accident risk or damage 
  • Proper reporting of any accidents or customer complaints

This position is salary based, but hours vary depending on scheduling, weather, and time of year. Salary ranges starting from $37,440-$45,760 with continued room for advancement.
