We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary staff in providing exceptional care to our animal patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about animal health and well-being.

Experience is a plus but not a requirement.

- Bilingual (English & Spanish) appreciated! Eligible for increase in pay for translating to Spanish speaking clients.

MUST be able to work ALL following hours

Tuesday 4:45pm - 7:00pm or later, Wednesday 8:45am - 1:00pm or later, and Saturday 8:45am - 4:00pm or later

Hours (closing times) vary based on the amount of patients signed in due to walk in hours.

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during treatment
- Administer medications under the direction of veterinarians
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic
- Utilize veterinary terminology accurately in documentation

Skills:

- Proficient in dog handling techniques
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Understanding of veterinary terminology
- Able to multitask and learn on the job
