ROLE:

A technician is needed to manage and perform all repairs, service, inventory, and technical support for refrigeration systems in beverage, cold food, and frozen vending machines. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing systems belonging to customers; diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing systems and decks in inventory for resale; managing on-premise refrigeration inventory of spare parts and for-sale merchandise; occasionally providing phone technical support for refrigeration systems in customer machines.

BENEFITS:

  1. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE: Part-time role of 1-3 days per week as needed, you choose your own 9am-5pm days Monday-Saturday.
  2. PAID TRAINING: Paid on-the-job training to improve your skills, add certs, or fine-tune your skills to the vending industry.
  3. GREAT WORK ENVIRONMENT: Small family business, quiet, low stress, with high standards and customer-focused mission.
  4. RAPID ADVANCEMENT: We look to switch to full-time and top pay for this job once the technician is trained and ready to meet growing industry demand and can work autonomously (permanent part-time position also an option if technician desires).

REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS: The technician must be familiar with and qualified to handle small appliance refrigeration systems, and CFC, HFC, and HC refrigerants. EPA Section 608 Type I or Universal Certification desired, but not required. The technician must be familiar with basic concepts of electricity and repair techniques and processes for electrical systems and wiring on refrigeration decks. The technician must be familiar with brazing, particularly on small tubing in limited-access locations, StayBrite8 soldering, nitrogen purge techniques, refrigerant safety protocols, proper use of common refrigeration diagnostic and repair tools, and basic computer skills for inventory management and job tracking.

PHYSICAL: This position requires alternately standing for long periods, crouching, sitting, lifting equipment or tools between 50-100Ibs, bending over, and wearing respirators and other PPE. This position requires good vision and hearing and the ability to work with small parts easily.

EXPERIENCE: Prior experience of at least 5 years and familiarity with modern refrigeration diagnostic tools and processes are highly desired.

We are ready and willing to train technicians on the unique aspects of vending machine refrigeration systems.

PART-TIME SCHEDULE:

Part-time work initially needed, but a full-time position is the goal once customer demand can be increased to meet new productivity potential.

The job will begin as part-time (1-3 days per week, and you can pick the days you work), with the goal to transition to full-time within 6-12 months.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly pay starts at a minimum of $29 per hour with a maximum pay of $42 per hour. Initial and subsequent pay level or increases depend on experience, skill level, and learning speed. We are willing to pay top-dollar for experienced team members who can work independently without supervision!
