Job Summary:
As a Virtual Child Therapist, you will provide telehealth therapy services to children (ages 5-18) and their families. You will be responsible for conducting individual therapy sessions, creating treatment plans, and offering support to children dealing with a variety of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and more. You will have the flexibility of working remotely, allowing you to manage your schedule while making a positive impact in the lives of children and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy sessions to children and adolescents via secure telehealth platforms.
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions using evidence-based approaches.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of each session, treatment plan, and client progress.
  • Collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure effective communication and support outside of therapy sessions.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in therapy practice.
  • Stay up-to-date with current therapeutic techniques, research, and practices in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Provide occasional feedback or reports as requested by clients or other team members.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW), or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting (telehealth experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions for children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Must be tech-savvy and comfortable using secure telehealth platforms for therapy sessions.

Contract Details:

  • This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
  • Flexible, part-time hours (average of 10-20 hours per week, with potential for growth).
