Lead Teacher
- The lead teacher is responsible for providing children with a developmentally appropriate, safe, and healthy environment to advance their physical and cognitive growth and development in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and NAEYC standards.
- The teacher must also ensure that high-quality educational instruction using the Creative Curriculum is implemented and prepare children for kindergarten. Paperwork is required and includes but is not limited to: child observations, lesson planning, quarterly assessments, parent-teacher conferences, home visits, attendance, and meal-recording.
- Duties include but are not limited to some lifting, diapering and toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing.
- Education Requirements: Minimum Degree BA in ECE with a Gateways Level 5 Maximum Degree MA in ECE with a Gateways Level 6
