Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to adolescents and adults with scoliosis. The Physical Therapist Assistant will play a crucial role in helping patients meet their goals and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and exercises.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate and collaborate in discharge planning with the physical therapist.

Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology.
• Experience or familiarity with scoliosis (willing to train PTA).
• Proficient in implementing effective treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Strong communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with PT.
• Experience with discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week (must be available evening hours 3-6pm)
