Overview
Progressive Steps Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery in the client's home environment. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, IDD and geriatric care. Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is a preferred but not required. This is a hybrid position,(50% travel/50% virtual) allowing visits to be conducted either in person or virtually, depending on the agreement with client/family. New Graduates are encouraged to apply as well.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred but not required.
• Experience or familiarity individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and geriatric patient populations is preferred but not required.
• Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes.
