Job Description:

Atlantic Coast Diving Jax is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Diving Coach to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about coaching and developing divers at various skill levels. The ideal candidate does not need a background in diving, however, they do need excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging environment for athletes.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions.
• Follow training programs to improve divers' technique, strength, and performance.
• Provide personalized feedback and instruction to divers.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment during all practices and competitions.
• Attend and coach at local and regional diving meets.
• Collaborate with other coaches and club staff to enhance the overall program.
• Maintain records of athletes’ progress and performance.
• Communicate effectively with divers, parents, and club management.
• Adhere to all club policies, safety standards, and USA Diving regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience in diving is not necessary, training will be provided.
• Knowledge of diving techniques and training methodologies.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain, paid for by club).
• USA Diving coaching certification (paid for by club).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an aerial sport such as diving, gymnastics, cheerleading, trampoline, and or tumbling.

Work Schedule:

• Approximately 10-15 hours per week.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Schedule may vary based on competition and practice needs.

Compensation:

• Hourly rate of $12.50 - $15, commensurate with experience.

About Atlantic Coast Diving Jax:

ACD Jax is located in Jacksonville, Fl.​​ The goal of our program is to teach athletes lifelong skills including discipline, self-confidence, and teamwork as well as providing the opportunity to compete and advance in the sport of diving. Our coaches are dedicated to providing the best training while ensuring a safe and fun environment. 

Divers in our program start by learning the most basic skills necessary to progress to harder, more complex dives. As the skill level increases so do self-confidence! Discipline is essential for divers to learn the skill needed to successfully complete new dives and continue to progress. Each diver will have the opportunity to learn sportsmanship and teamwork as this is a key ingredient to becoming a great athlete.

We have multiple facilities around Jacksonville including our Dryland facility located off of Phillips Hwy and only miles from our main water training facility, The Bolles School.
