Overview 
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical environment. This position requires a compassionate individual who is eager to support both patients and medical staff. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Collect all outside medical recording test result from referring physician for healthcare provider review.
  • Review patient schedule with healthcare provider and planner clinical day. 
  • Help to prepare, maintain, retrieve and re-file patient chart.
  • Clean exam rooms, ensure proper supplies are available, and demonstrate safe use of equipment related to patient care.
  • Maintain infection control measures with all patient contact. Comply with standards of infection control and quality improvement policies and procedures at all times. 
  • Promotes a safe and efficient working environment by adhering to safe equipment and supply handling policies and procedures at all time
  • Immediately reports all incidents, irregularities, unsafe conditions, equipment and /or unusual occurrence to site supervisor. 
  • Escort patient to exam room and perform routine testing within the scope of Certified Medical Assistant Practice. 
  • Assist practitioners with the completion of patients summaries, medication / allergy reconciliation at every office visit and history forms.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age appropriate care.
  • Consistently responds to patient and family members concerns in a prompt, courteous and professional manner. Directs inquires, complaints or problems to appropriate resources.
  • Transfer to the appropriate clinical staff, clinical patient calls, and reviews. 

Job qualifications:

  • Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
  • Experience in internal medicine or urgent care settings is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various clinical tasks as needed. 
  • Current BLS certification. Experience : 1 year Physician office experience
