theCoderSchool is an after-school drop-off program and summer camp for kids learning to code located in Montgomery, Princeton and North Brunswick. We have a cool vibe and an even cooler purpose. We teach. We inspire. We change lives.

Job Summary

Looking for an awesome experience while working with kids? Come be a Code Coach and help run our summer coding camps at our location in Princeton, Montgomery or North Brunswick! We are looking for Summer Camp Code Instructors to supervise young campers and make sure they learn and have fun. You'll meet incredible kids, teach them how to code, and be rewarded with an amazing experience. Being reliable and able to build good relationships with children are essential traits of a Summer Camp Code Instructor You need general knowledge of a few computer languages, including Scratch. Responsibilities

  • Lead recreational and coding activities
  • Educate campers through games and explorations
  • Mentor and grow amazing kids who are ready to be our next generation of coders
  • Escort & oversee children
  • Make sure all computer and safety rules are followed

Job Requirements

  • PASSION. All Caps! This is all about the kids, we want you to be excited!
  • Strong grasp of basic procedural programming
  • Knowledge of Lego Robotics, 3D Printing, Python, Unity and Pixel Pad are most helpful
  • Experience teaching kids in any subject is a plus, as is experience with Scratch
  • Patient, Reliable and Responsible
  • Energetic and positive personality
  • First aid and CPR-certified preferred but not required
  • High school diploma at minimum
  • Organizational and communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
