What You’ll Do

TechPro, Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a deep understanding of the Linux ecosystem, Ethernet switching, and network infrastructure. Knowledge of the Windows operating system is also necessary. The ideal candidate should have a willingness to learn and a positive attitude to help build and maintain our existing hosted environment. Our infrastructure involves the use of VMware, Check Point, Citrix, and RDP.

• Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network hardware and software issues, taking initiative and completing jobs with minimal technical direction
• Support a large number of networks and gain exposure to different companies and their use of IT services
• Frequent on-site work at TechPro customers' premises to resolve issues. May need to use a personal automobile occasionally
• Assist with work overflow and be available for overtime and during non-business hours as required. Daily working hours are usually consistent, but there may occasionally be a need for evening and weekend availability

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• We are seeking an individual with practical experience in Windows/Linux for challenging internal projects
• If you possess strong technical skills, have a quick learning ability, and are capable of thinking outside the box, you are the ideal candidate! Our team is highly enthusiastic about computers and requires someone with the same attitude
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure when necessary

Education and Personal Requirements

• Must be very reliable and punctual
• Possess a good grasp of grammar and language as descriptions are sent immediately to the customers as confirmation of work completed
• Understand the importance of a neat, professional appearance
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Would prefer a candidate who lives in or near the Venice/Sarasota area
