Rangeline Tapping Services is seeking a highly motivated Field Technicians to provide effective maintenance and operation for the water and wastewater utilities.

Field Technicians must be able to travel out of town and have a clean driving record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operation and maintenance on all tapping and line stopping equipment.
  • Review and examine line and tap setup to ensure a new tap can be performed safely.
  • Maintains all line stop/hot tap equipment and demonstrates the ability rebuild all equipment.
  • Complies with all government rules and regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Provides services in the most efficient manner possible while complying with cost estimates.
  • Communicates and interacts with management, engineers, and co-workers.
  • Operates industry related tools and equipment including forklift.
  • Assist in the selection of appropriate hot tap and line stop fittings for field installations.
  • Assist in Troubleshooting equipment and installation issues.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of and the ability to use basic hand tools, materials, and equipment commonly used in the performance of job function.
  • Knowledge of using pumps, compressors, and other appropriate equipment
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to write legible and descriptive reports on duties performed.
  • Ability to work on emergency repairs and services unsupervised or in teams of various sizes.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in various and/or extreme weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license clear of multiple and/or major violations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 within 90 days of hire.
  • Completion of OSHA 10 within first week of hire.
  • Completion of Confined Space Training within one week of hire.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience (preferred)
