JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for completing skilled tasks in construction, maintenance, and the repair of wastewater systems located in Englewood, FL by operating a variety of light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Experience in wastewater collection systems or construction preferred.
Special Qualifications:
Possession of a valid, State of Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to operate the motor vehicle operated; minimum, Class B preferred. Must be able to obtain a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 6 months of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is very heavy work which requires exerting more than 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or more than 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to perform strenuous physical activities in adverse weather conditions with extreme temperature variations (hot / cold). Frequent exposure to noxious fumes, dust, chemicals, insects, heights and confined areas, and excessive noise. Frequent sitting and twisting during the operation of heavy equipment. Constant standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping & bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching overhead, grasping with use of hands & arms, pushing, pulling, digging. Vision and hearing must be correctable. Position requires the operation of various heavy construction equipment, machinery, and hand tools.

Work is typically performed in an outdoor environment.
