Ability to learn and accomplish the following under the supervision of experienced marine electricians/electronics technicians
Installation and removal of shipboard electrical cabling and electronic equipment
Perform various manual labor tasks, to include bolting and unbolting electrical and electronic equipment
Maintain a clean and organized shipboard working area
Able to use hand tools, grinders, reciprocating saws, drills
Required to have personal hand tools and an electrical multimeter. Marine Electrical Helpers will be properly trained in the use of all tools and electrical multimeters prior to use
Perform all work in accordance with the established policies and procedures detailed in the Waveforce Electrical Safety Manual
Capability to perform physical labor on ships, barges and submarines
Capability to work collaboratively in small, supervised shipboard teams
Capability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
Occasional travel required (<25%)
Experience Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Prior experience in the ship repair and ship modernization industry is not required but is a plus
Other Requirements
Must be able to pass Waveforce Electrical pre-employment drug and background screening.
Must be able to obtain government facility and/or shipyard access, to include a DBIDS credential, as required by work locations
