Highlands Micro School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time Elementary After-School Instructor to join our team and run our Life Skills Block Program for the 2024-2025 school year! As an instructor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and engaging after-school program for elementary school students. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supervising students, and fostering a positive learning environment. 

● Develop and implement a variety of engaging and educational activities for elementary school students during the after-school program. 

● Ensure the safety and well-being of students by maintaining a structured and secure environment. 

● Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff through effective communication and collaboration. 

● Manage behavior and implement discipline strategies in a fair and consistent manner. 

● Keep accurate attendance records and assist with administrative tasks related to the program. 

● Maintain a well-organized learning space and playground and ensure it is clean and ready for school the following day 

● Collaborate with staff to develop and improve program curriculum and activities. Experience with elementary school aged children is required, but no formal training in education is necessary. 

Must pass a CBI (Colorado) and FBI (Federal) background check. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred). Experience with outdoor education or camping with students is a bonus.

Reporting Requirements: 

5 days per week 3-6 p.m. 

Compensation: 

$20-23 per hour depending on experience 

Start date- Monday, August 19th, 2024
