We are looking for a passionate ELA/Social Studies Teacher to educate and inspire our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both English Language Arts and Social Studies, utilizing inquiry-based learning methods to engage students and foster a love for learning. The goal is to help students develop their intellectual and social capabilities, preparing them for future academic success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum in ELA and Social Studies that aligns with SCISA and NAEYC standards.
• Employ a variety of teaching techniques, including storytelling, inquiry-based projects, and collaborative learning.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.
• Observe and assess each student’s progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
• Promote equality, social justice, and cultural awareness through inclusive teaching practices.
• Communicate regularly with parents to share student progress and address any concerns.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as an ELA/Social Studies Teacher or in a similar educational role.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and inquiry-based educational methods.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills.
• Ability to engage students and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable.
• Certification in child CPR is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
