Emory Valley Center is hiring for our Early Learning Center locations at the Little Learning Lab, a partnership with Oak Ridge National Lab to provide high quality childcare for employees, and the Early Learning Center a high 

quality early learning environment. Both locations will use developmentally appropriate practices and will be inclusive centers.

The following employment opportunities will be available in late July/ early August- we are recruiting now! We will need teachers, assistant teachers, floaters, and substitutes at both locations.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Early Learning professionals to join our team children services team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and significant experience in an early childhood field, either in State funded Preschool programs, Head Start programs, high quality childcare centers, and other quality early care environments. As an educator your primary responsibility will be to focus on:

  • Program Development: Implementing evidence-based curriculum and activities that promote and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Experience with Creative Curriculum, Conscious Discipline, and the Pyramid model is a plus!
  • Play Based Learning and Individualization for young children
  • Family Engagement: Collaborating with families to support their involvement in their child's learning and development; maintaining excellent communication and relationships with families.

Desirable Candidates will possess:

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child and Family Studies.
  • CDA Credentialing, or TECTA.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an early childhood development field.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community stakeholders
