We are looking for an assistant technician to be trained to work on landscaping, water, and wastewater systems. Starting pay $20-$28/hour depending on qualifications. Advancement possibility up to $30+/hour.

40-50 hours per week most of the year, 30-40 hours per week in winter, 

DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Assist in operating and maintaining water systems including testing chlorine, recording flow meters, maintaining dosing pumps, valves, plumbing, etc…
• Assist in operating and maintaining wastewater systems including maintaining treatment facilities, lift/pump stations, controls, filters, plumbing, manholes, valves, etc… 
• Following operational and monitoring guidelines in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Repair pumps and various equipment. (After properly trained)
• Perform after hours ‘emergency’ work as required. (2X hourly rate)
• Locate underground utilities. (After properly trained)
• Excavating, repairing, backfilling equipment, sewer, and electrical lines using hand and mechanical methods.
• Communicate with clients in a professional manner.
• Communicate with others in company on a daily basis to coordinate work and billing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid, unrestricted, New Mexico Driver License and clean driving record.
• Hardworking, self motivated, and detail oriented.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to work alone, and work well with others.
• Water and wastewater operators certification a plus, but not required.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have your own vehicle to get to the office. We provide transportation to and from job sites.
• Must be able to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Must be able to work outside 8 hours/day.
• Able to read and speak English. Spanish language skills a plus.
• Must have your own smart phone.
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs off the ground, 50 lbs over your head, and your own body weight as if climbing out of a small access hole.
• NO FELONIES. We work for Public Schools and a background check will be performed.
