Pet Care associates provide direct contact, interaction, and care for animals. Pet Care Associates are responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the business and successful delivery of requested services.

Job Duties:

• To ensure that all kenneled dogs are properly fed, watered and in good health.
• To notify senior management or supervisor if any dogs appear to be sick or injured.
• Ensure that all enquiries in relation to kenneled dogs are handled in accordance with Company policy.
• Ensure the kennels are in a safe and secure condition at all times and are thoroughly cleansed.
• To take reasonable care of own and others’ safety; to co-operate with managers/supervisors in complying with statutory health & safety duties; to report incidents, accidents, faults etc.
• Responsible for the provision and systematic capture of services in alignment with company policy and guests requests
• Responsible for accountability of guests and all associated belongings

Skills/Qualifications:

• Previous dog handling experience is preferred
• Must demonstrate compassion and empathy towards animals and possess the ability to work in high stress, high noise, and fast-paced environment.
• Be able to use basic analytical skills to solve problems autonomously
• Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying of objects upwards of 50 lbs. May include long periods of standing and requires the ability to handle dogs in excess of 100lbs.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old with transportation to get to and from work.
• Must be able to answer phone calls and book appointments.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00-$18.00/hr
