Job Summary: 

Do you like working with kids and surrounding yourself with fun people who share your same interests? Lil Angels Photography is looking for a bubbly, passionate and reliable person to join our team. You must love kids and be interested in photography! Our ideal candidate should have a creative eye for detail and an ability to work with children, as young as infants, in a fast paced school photo day environment. 

Location: Location varies all around KC metro

Main editing is done at office just south of Smithville, MO; Daily photography locations vary.

As a photographer, you and your assistant will travel to different preschool locations within the KC metro. This job is unique because half the day is spent photographing on location and then by lunch you are editing at our main office! It is a great change of pace for a person who is not interested in being in one spot everyday or stuck in an office cubicle.

Responsibilities: 

- Work with children of all ages to capture the perfect smiles at a very fast pace.

- Use creative techniques to capture the 

best smile, quickly and with detail.

- Edit and enhance photos to ensure they 

meet the company's standards.

- Photograph and edit the same day’s work and keep up with the daily pace of shooting at a new location each day.  

- Work with teachers and administration of preschool facilities to understand their 

needs and preferences.

- Manage and make sure the photoshoot is fun and easy for our customers! They should be treated as family while we are working with them.   

- Manage and maintain original and edited files and records in lightroom and hard drive.

- Manage and maintain provided work van and photography equipment.

Availability:

Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a full time position (2- 3 days a week available as well for part time).

Seasonal position; The following months are all off season and no work will be available: January, second half of May, June, July, August, and December.

Requirements:

• Must LOVE working with children and work well with staff at preschool and childcare facilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must be willing to travel and photograph at preschools in Clay, Platte and Johnson counties and then return to edit at our main office south of Smithville, MO.
• Must pay excellent attention to details including combed hair, clean face, and posing of kids.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must work well in a two man team environment.
• Must be able to work early morning hours, such as 7 a.m. start times.
• Must be willing to be crazy and fun in order to get a genuine smile from a child.

Beneficial Attributes: 

• Residing within the Kansas City Northland (north of the river) or be willing to drive a company van and meet your assistant at photoshoots located in Kansas.
• Experience as a photographer (or have a strong interest in photography) with a focus on children's photography. 
• A portfolio showcasing your talent and creativity in photography.
• Experience with editing software, such as Lightroom.
