Seeking a dedicated Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist for a full-time position in Madison, Alabama clinic. Evaluate and enhance daily living and educational skills of children with diverse conditions. Monday - Thursday, 7:00 - 6:00, and Friday, 8:00 - 5:00. Provide client-centered services to empower children for improved performance at school, home, and in the community. Must have a passion for children and a desire to be part of a supportive work environment.

Expectations:

  • Evaluate, identify, and meet children's goals and needs.
  • Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients’ functional ability to complete self-care tasks, participation in social settings, and ability to complete age-appropriate activities.
  • Develop pediatric care plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
  • Provide quality, personalized, and evidence-based care and proven interventions.
  • Promote children's independence by improving core and UE strength, fine motor skills, sensory integration/ processing, visual motor coordination, etc. 
  • Consult and practice with other health professionals.
  • Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress.
  • Document patient care services.
  • Supervision of COTAs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
  • Professional behavior.
  • Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media.
  • Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools.
  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and behaviors.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • A master's degree or greater in occupational therapy is required.
  • Valid license to practice occupational therapy or be in the process of obtaining a license.
  • Professional behavior.
  • Possesses expertise in utilizing Google Suite products professionally.
