Responsibilities:

• Execute instructions from Physicians regarding the specific area of the patient’s body to be x-rayed.
• Guide patients through the procedure, addressing their inquiries and concerns with clarity and empathy.
• Ensure precise positioning of patients and adjust imaging equipment accordingly for accurate results.
• Implement measures to minimize radiation exposure, prioritizing the safety and well-being of patients and oneself.
• To maintain safety standards, adhere to established techniques and protocols, including patient shielding.
• Uphold a clean and secure work environment conducive to optimal patient care and operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on current radiology practices and advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
• Utilize purchasing and inventory management software as necessary for procurement and inventory control.
• Assist in patient rooming, triage, and other medical assistant tasks as required.
• Collaborate in arranging coverage for the position during absences such as vacations or leave.

Requirements:

• Proficient operation and comprehension of radiographic technology and equipment.
• Valid Maryland state license and certification for radiologic technology practice.
• Minimum of one year of relevant x-ray experience, including internships.
• Preferable experience in orthopedics and/or sports medicine.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations governing patient confidentiality and data security.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient service aptitude.
