  • Our Head Teacher are expected to take full ownership of the respective classroom, including:
  •  
  • Partnering with Director in preparing Daily, Weekly, or Monthly Schedules.
  • Studying on timely and regular basis the “Creative Curriculum” material, for the assigned class.
  • Partnering with Director in preparing Lesson Plans and uploading to Tadpoles.
  • Keeping an accurate children count, keep Tadpole updated & display of children in the class room at all times.
  • Maintaining the “Daily Report” on Tadpole for each child in the class.
  • Sending pics via Tadpole to parents of each child during the day.
  • Keeping assigned classroom decorated and notice boards updated.
  • Implementing the Daily Schedule & Lesson Plan.
  • Keeping the assigned class room clean and sanitized procedures are follows when applicable. Make sure jobs in “Cleaning Sheets” are properly done and initialed after done.
  • Preparing and keeping updated each child’s “Assessment” and progress report in coordination with other staff assigned in the class room.
  • To the extent possible, keep the Incidents and Accidents to a minimum.
  • Prepare (when needed) and communicate first to Director, and then to parents the Incident and Accident Reports
  • Be prepared and discuss child’s progress during “Parent-Teacher” conferences.
  • Providing timely feedback to Director about a child’s unsatisfactory behavior, come up with a plan and implement to address same.
  • Keeping class room free of safety hazards for children and staff.
  • At end of day, communicate with assigned staff the remaining daily schedule for the day.
  • Communicating and assigning other staff in the class room the jobs to supplement the class activities.
  • Keeping self-updated, and provide necessary training to other staff assigned in the class room with: State DCF rules, Bright Kidz policies, etc.
  • Keeping self-updated about “Employee Handbook” and “Parent Handbook”.
  • Participating in all Staff meetings
  • Completing all trainings on time as suggested by the Management.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of the center’s child development and activities
  • Ensure the appropriateness of program activities according to both the age and development level of the children
  • Work at least 75 percent of the center’s daily operating hours or at least 6 hours a day, whichever is less
  • Plan, discuss, and observe the implementation of program activities by staff members for all age groups of children

Must have a Bachelor's Degree

$17-$20 per hour
