Fast pace environmental company servicing the tri-state area, NY, is looking for an experienced field EPA Lead Inspector, Monday through Friday, full time. We are searching for hard working, driven individuals to meet and exceed goals.

Overview: Under general direction of the Inspections Manger, the Environmental Technician/Inspector performs a variety of routine field inspections to ongoing clientele responsible for providing customers with timely and accurate field inspector reports. Housing will be considered for out of state employees.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • EPA Lead Inspector or Risk Assessor License

Job Location: Various Locations throughout NYC

Essential Job Duties: The following tasks are essential for this position. (May perform similar or related tasks not listed here )

  • Provides high-level environmental inspections to property managers and residences in tri-state area
  • Prepare reports, enter data into sales tracking database, maintain accurate documentation
  • Resolves in the field problems that arise throughout the course of the day
  • Collect field samples, hand write field reports and draw sketches of job site
  • Work together with a team of field inspectors
  • Provides manager and team of inspectors with all required information required to complete assigned task
  • Update and maintain important documents and Environmental Protection Agency certifications
  • May perform other assigned tasks as required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have very strong technical skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn technical software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have legible handwriting in English
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and follow-up skills, and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities while working under little supervision
  • Maturity and judgment, and sound decision-making in order to communicate on an executive level and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • High level of motivation, integrity, self-confidence and the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to adapt to change, learn new skills rapidly and respond well to a variety of situations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
