Let It Bee Landscaping LLC is a woman-owned landscaping business that specializes in wildlife gardening through native plant use while promoting the beauty of these plants through strong design and ecological application.

This position is for a seasonal part-time contractor that works outside using organic practices weeding, mulching and planting native plants. Some on-the-job training is provided such as native plant care and requirements, weed and native plant ID, wildlife uses of native plants and landscaping best practices. 

Qualifications:

• Gardening Experience
• Vegetable and Farming Experience
• Experience with small hand tools and some electric tools
• Design Experience
• Knowledge of wildlife, specifically insects and birds

The job duties are:

• Digging and pulling weeds
• Digging holes for planting with a shovel and pickaxe
• Planting perennials, shrubs and small trees
• Spreading cardboard and mulch
• Hand-trimming and pruning

Job Type: Part Time

Schedule: 

• Approximately 5 - 15 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• 8am - 1pm or 1pm - 5pm

Job Pay: $16/ hr normal rate & $18/hr for July and August

Job Location: Baton Rouge, mostly Mid-City and Shenandoah
