Kumon Math and Reading Center of Carson South is looking for a part-time learning center assistant.

We are searching for bright, motivated, outgoing, and friendly individuals with a desire to help students reach their full potential in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for high school seniors, college students, and retired educators.

• Long-term commitment is a must (minimum 6 months )
• Prior Kumon or tutoring experience and/or university degree preferred.
• Good instructional skills, an ability to observe, understand, and communicate with children
• Comfortable working with younger students starting from preschool ages
• Ability to convey ideas and concepts simply and clearly to children
• Responsible, reliable, punctual, able to multi-task and follow directions

Responsibilities

• Grading homework assignments
• Leading young children with classwork
• Any other tasks may be required for the operation of the center

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 12 per week
