Bakersfield SPCA is adding to our team! Do you love animals and want to learn new skills? A part time Kennel Technician position is available. You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility. Willing to work up to 25 hours a week, weekends and holidays. $16.50 - $17.50 an hour. Responsibilities:

• Handle general care tasks such as cleaning kennels, feeding and grooming of the animals
• Assist in restraining animals for medical needs
• Working with potential adopters to make the right connection
• Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment

Qualifications:

• Good customer service skills
• Passion to help and treat animals
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
