Responsibilities:

• Provide speech therapy services to children in an early intervention classroom setting.
• Conduct patient assessments to determine speech therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize critical care experience to address complex speech and language disorders.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology in treatment sessions.
• Utilize case management skills to coordinate care and services for patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines in the field of speech-language pathology.
• Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the field.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by ASHA (strong CF candidates will be considered)
• NYS license to practice Speech-Language Pathology (or CF)
• Certified Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled or Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped.
• Candidates must have a valid NYS driver’s license, automobile, and active auto insurance.
